Our receptionists will make appointments with the doctors and nurses, deal with repeat prescription requests and give results of laboratory tests. If you wish to speak to the doctor or nurse by telephone, they will suggest a suitable time.

Out of Hours & Emergencies

Emergencies outside surgery hours are dealt with by Urgent Care Cambridge. All calls are passed to an experienced local general practitioner, who will offer telephone advice, arrange to see you at the Chesterton Hospital Surgery or visit you at home, whichever is most appropriate.

Our own doctors work sessions for Urgent Care Cambridge and may be on duty, but it is more likely that you will speak to a doctor from another practice. Please telephone the normal surgery number (01223 247288) and you will be offered an option to be diverted straight through to Urgent Care Cambridge where, for your own protection, your call may be recorded. Our answerphone message will also give you the Urgent Care Cambridge number (0330 123 9131) in case you do not have a touch tone phone.
