Health Education
Our doctors and nurses are always happy to give advice on any matter concerning your health.
Midwife
The district midwife holds regular antenatal clinics at the surgery.
Practice Nurses
Our nurses hold morning and afternoon surgeries. See them about:
- Immunisation
- Travel advice
- Dressings and removal of stitches
- Ear syringing
- Cervical smears
- Contraceptive pill checks
- Dietary advice
- Minor illnesses
Plus any other referrals which your doctor may arrange (eg ECG recording, hearing tests for adults).
Health Visiting/School Nursing
The Health Visiting Team visit families with new babies in the early weeks and are available to any parents with concern about the health and development of their children. They are based at the Brookfields Hospital Site.

The School Nursing Service is part of the NHS. It has a public health role and provides confidential advice and support to all children, young people, and their carers in a variety of settings.

For insurance, fitness to drive, pre-employment etc, arrange with the receptionist (a fee will be charged).
